Fluorescent Probes

SETA BioMedicals offers probes for various types of applications:

Some of these specific probes are targeted to measure changes in lipid bilayer hydration of cells, cholesterol and triglycerides content in biological fluids and live/necrotic cell populations. We also offer probes for protein analysis. With quantum yields of 80% and extination cefficients in the order of 180,000 - 210,000 M-1cm-1. Square probes are on of the most sensitive dyes for the quantitative analysis of proteins.

K35 is a hydrophobic fluorescent probe for albumin binding sites in plasma and serum.

YO-Seta-1 (same as YOYO-1) is a high affinity cell-impermeable probe for staining of dsDNA.

Seta-Green is a high affinity, cell-impermeant nucleic acid stain for qPCR similar to SYBR Green-1.

Square-460 is an highly viscosity-sensitive fluorescent probe.

Our fluorescent rotaxane probes SeTau-647 and SeTau-633 exhibit extremely high chemical and photostability and are well suited for  cellular imaging. They also have extremly high 2-photon action cross sections in the order of several thousand GM.

The pH-sensitive probe Square-650-pH is the only probe of its kind which shows lifetime sensitive responses in the physiological pH range. It is well suited for measurements of internal conversion and endocytic events.
